SAAJ is a thoughtfully curated cultural initiative conceived by Shruti ChaturLal and Preeti Juneja, bringing together the timeless traditions of Indian music, handloom, storytelling and meaningful conversation.
Inspired by the intimate spirit of the traditional Indian baithak, SAAJ creates immersive evenings where exceptional musicians, master artisans, cultural voices and discerning audiences come together to experience art, heritage and human connection.
Envisioned as a recurring cultural series, SAAJ will present curated editions every two months, each exploring a different musical genre while celebrating India's rich artistic and textile heritage — an invitation to reconnect with music, craftsmanship, culture and one another.
About the evening
The Artists
The Niazi Nizami Brothers are celebrated torchbearers of the Hapur Gharana and resident qawwals at Delhi's revered Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah. Descendants of a distinguished Sufi musical lineage spanning over 750 years, brothers Haider Nizami, Hasan Nizami and Imran Nizami carry forward a tradition deeply rooted in spirituality, classical music and the timeless art of qawwali.
Trained under the rigorous guidance of their father, Ustad Qadar Niazi, the brothers have inherited a rich musical legacy that brings together devotional depth, classical finesse and powerful stage energy.
Known for their soulful rendition of Hasta Hua Noorani Chehra, the Niazi Nizami Brothers have captivated audiences across India and around the world. Their artistry has also extended to Bollywood, with their voices featured in Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 – Agni Pariksha.
Their repertoire spans beloved qawwalis and ghazals, performed with an authenticity that comes from generations of living musical tradition. With every performance, the Niazi Nizami Brothers create more than music — they create an atmosphere of roohaniyat, sama and connection, carrying the spirit of Nizamuddin into every gathering.
For SAAJ, their performance promises an evening where music becomes a bridge between heritage, devotion and the human heart.
